I am uncertain how or why I came up with this idea, but it was a fun one that saw at least three sequels and lasted me through four grades. My world was much smaller then and I assumed everyone would know about everything in it. Ada B., for example, is the name of a local school, and the characters in the story include myself and three friends.

Already, I have a strong grasp of suspenseful chapter endings and a decent handle on dialogue. My illustration skills, however, leave much to be desired … and to this day, they still do.
